Transitions is a preparation tool designed to help address 9 key areas that students should be aware of before heading to college. We believe that the content is for any student heading to college and could also be adapted for young adults entering the next stage of life following high school. Transitions is intended to give a snapshot of what the student should become aware of. Our hope is that it will create deeper interest for discipleship and preparation for life as a Christian.
Who should lead this? We feel the ideal candidates are leaders within the local church who have a heart to see students succeed beyond high school. They should be leaders who can provide consistent focus to this process in the midst of changing leadership.
PROGRAM
Leaders Sessions:
There are two leader's sessions that are critical to this process. They are designed to inform the church of the vital need of preparing our students and enlist and train "transitional mentors" to help them succeed. Our vision is to see every graduate connected with a transitional mentor. The "Connecting for Success" session is the culmination of effectively implementing this transitions project.
Transitions Sessions:
Each session has a specific purpose and is intended to be one hour in length. Each of the sessions can be accessed through the Media page. All the materials you will need, including media, are contained in a zip file for each session. Each session script is offered in a Word format allowing you to edit and change as you see fit.
Gaining Access:
You can gain access to the site by clicking on the Media link above and going through the donation page. The site is accessed on a suggested donation basis. This helps us keep the site running.
Once you complete the registration, you will be sent a username and password. This will allow you access to the site even as materials are updated and improved. We also invite you to submit resources and suggestions/ideas to help make the site better.
HOW IT WORKS
